Specializing in Pet Care & Behavior Training Plans

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawaked."

~Anatole France

My name is Kelley, and I am the founder of PAWfect Pet Services, LLC.  I am a full time Professional Pet Care & Behavior Specialist.  I graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2002.  Focusing my studies on people and animals, including; Animal Assisted Therapies, Animals Roles in Society and conducted an Independent Research Project on our local Animal Shelters.

After graduating I pursued a few jobs in social work and continued to volunteer for animal welfare causes and keeping my love for animals close to my heart.

In 2004 I founded a non-profit called Midwest Animal Welfare Society, focusing on humane education and animal rescue.  We partnered with the Pottawattamie County Animal Shelter for two years managing care plans for the animals in their care.  I coordinated their volunteer program, offsite adoptions and marketing events.  During this time I also became one of the founders of Iowans Against Breed Specific Legislation educating our community members and leaders on the negative affects of this legislation, while promoting dangerous dog laws.

In 2007, I finally decided to pursue working with animals full time, and started PAWfect Pet Services and today I am so lucky to have a full time career working with animals.  I was the President of the Omaha Pet Sitters Association for 3 years and won the Dotty Shantz Scholarship from Pet Sitters International in 2009.  I continue to network with rescue groups, pet trainers, while volunteering at the Nebraska Humane Society walking dogs, and assisting with their training classes.  I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and I am working toward my Dog Training Certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.  I also plan to pursue my Master's Degree in Animal Behavior from the University of NE at Omaha.

Please be assured that your pets are in good hands and I will do my very best to make sure your animals are happy, healthy and content. I treat all animals as I would treat my own, and operate under a philosophy of treating my clients as I would want to be treated.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me.

Sincerely,

Kelley McAtee, Owner
